Membership Portal – Forums Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the membership discussion forums of the US India Chamber of Commerce DFW (“USICOC DFW,” “Chamber,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These forums are designed to encourage professional networking, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and meaningful dialogue among members across industries, including technology, healthcare, real estate, finance, entrepreneurship, education, public policy, and other business sectors.

By accessing, posting, commenting, uploading content, or participating in any discussion forum within the Membership Portal (“Forums”), you agree to comply with the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Purpose of the Forums

The Forums are intended to:

• Foster professional collaboration and business networking
• Encourage educational and industry-specific discussions
• Promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and community engagement
• Provide members with a respectful platform to exchange ideas and opportunities
• Support industry forums, including, but not limited to:

  • Healthcare & Life Sciences
  • Real Estate & Construction
  • Finance & Investments
  • Startups & Entrepreneurship
  • Legal & Immigration
  • Education & Workforce Development
  • Public Policy & Civic Engagement

2. Eligibility & Access

• Access to the Forums is restricted to registered members and approved participants of USICOC DFW.
• Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
• The Chamber reserves the right to verify membership status and revoke access at any time.

3. Professional Conduct

All members are expected to maintain professional, respectful, and constructive communication at all times.

Members shall NOT:

• Post defamatory, abusive, harassing, threatening, discriminatory, or hateful content
• Use offensive, vulgar, obscene, or inflammatory language
• Engage in personal attacks or intimidation
• Spread misinformation or knowingly false statements
• Post content that violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Disclose confidential, proprietary, or sensitive information without authorization
• Impersonate another individual or organization
• Promote illegal activities or unethical conduct

The Chamber encourages healthy debate and differing opinions when expressed respectfully and professionally.

4. Industry-Specific Discussions Disclaimer

Discussions within forums such as healthcare, finance, legal, tax, immigration, technology, investments, or real estate are intended for informational and networking purposes only.

Content posted by members does NOT constitute:

• Legal advice
• Medical advice
• Financial or investment advice
• Tax advice
• Professional consulting services

Members should independently verify information and consult qualified professionals before making business, legal, financial, healthcare, or investment decisions.

USICOC DFW does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of any member-posted information.

5. Advertising, Promotions & Solicitation

Reasonable business networking and promotional discussions relevant to the community are permitted, provided they remain professional and non-spammy.

The following are prohibited without prior Chamber approval:

• Excessive self-promotion
• Repeated unsolicited advertisements
• Pyramid schemes or misleading business opportunities
• Mass solicitation or spam postings
• Unauthorized fundraising campaigns
• Posting irrelevant promotional content across multiple forums

The Chamber reserves the right to remove promotional content deemed excessive or inappropriate.

6. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership

• Members retain ownership of content they post.
• By posting content, members grant USICOC DFW a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, moderate, archive, and distribute such content within Chamber platforms and related communications.
• Members represent that they own or have permission to share any content uploaded, including documents, images, videos, presentations, trademarks, or copyrighted materials.

Members shall not upload copyrighted material without authorization.

7. Confidentiality & Privacy

Members are responsible for protecting confidential or proprietary information.

Do not post:

• Sensitive business data
• Non-public financial information
• Personal health information
• Client confidential information
• Trade secrets
• Private member data without consent

USICOC DFW is not responsible for information voluntarily disclosed by members in forum discussions.

8. Moderation & Enforcement

USICOC DFW reserves the right to:

• Monitor forum activity
• Edit, remove, restrict, or archive content
• Suspend or terminate forum access
• Remove members who violate these Terms & Conditions
• Investigate complaints or misconduct

Enforcement actions may include:

• Warning notices
• Temporary suspension
• Permanent removal from the Forums
• Referral to applicable legal authorities where necessary

Moderation decisions shall be at the sole discretion of the Chamber.

9. No Endorsement

Views and opinions expressed by members are solely those of the individual participants and do not necessarily reflect the views, policies, or positions of USICOC DFW, its board members, officers, sponsors, or affiliates.

Participation in the Forums does not constitute endorsement of any business, service, investment, political position, or professional opinion.

10. Limitation of Liability

USICOC DFW shall not be liable for:

• Member-generated content
• Errors or inaccuracies in discussions
• Business losses arising from reliance on forum content
• Member interactions or transactions
• Unauthorized access or misuse of posted information

Members participate in the Forums at their own discretion and risk.

11. Reporting Violations

12. Amendments

USICOC DFW reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will become effective upon posting within the Membership Portal.

Continued use of the Forums constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or participating in the Membership Portal Forums, members acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
